Nforums Levels & Ranks System Documentation

The Nforums.co Ranking System is designed to encourage and reward active participation within the community. As you engage more with the forum, contribute content, and achieve milestones, you accumulate Experience Points (XP) and climb up the levels. Additionally, you can earn exclusive badges as you meet specific criteria or reach particular milestones.

How the Ranking System Works

The ranking system revolves around XP, levels, and badges:

  • Experience Points (XP): The amount of XP you gain is based on your participation within the forum. Here are the primary activities that earn you XP:
    • Creating a Thread: Begin a new discussion topic on the forum to engage other members.
    • Posting a Reply: Contribute to an ongoing discussion by replying to threads.
    • Popular Thread (Bonus): Earn a bonus when your thread becomes popular and attracts at least 20 replies from other members.
    • Receiving a Positive Vouch: Gain a vouch from another member from a successful marketplace deal.
    • Receiving Positive Reputation: Gain a positive reputation from another member for your valuable contributions or behaviors on the platform.
    • Receiving a Like on Your Post: Earn appreciation from members who like your posts or threads found to be insightful or helpful.
    • Post Marked as Solved: Gain recognition when your contribution solves a question or issue in question-oriented forums.
    • Daily Visit: Stay active and visit the forum daily to earn consistent XP.

    Note: Additional XP is not added if reputation is deleted and re-added.

  • Levels: As you collect XP, you progress through different levels. Each subsequent level demands more XP than the prior one, following a quadratic formula. This structure ensures a challenging and rewarding experience over time.
  • Exclusive Badges: Badges offer an additional layer of recognition. Achieve badges by meeting specific criteria or milestones. Represented by distinct icons, titles, and descriptions, badges are visible on your profile. Different tiers of badges highlight the prestige or challenge of the achievements they signify.
Badges are granted periodically, typically every 3 hours from when they are achieved. There may be occasional delays, but earned badges will always reflect on your profile.

Leveling Up

Level progression follows a quadratic formula, ensuring each level is more challenging than the previous. For instance, Level 2 demands 500 XP, Level 3 requires 2,000 XP, and so on. To attain Level 50, you must accumulate 1,250,000 XP.
